In the 54 years of my
life which occurs May 4 2015 (if I will still be alive and keeping my sanity
despite all the unrelenting brutal attacks on me), I will be surviving 27 years
of continuous war with this one man, Mr Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma the chief
non-Xhosa minion to the late Mr Nelson Mandela’s form of tribalism started by
the dead man in the 1940s during his membership with South Africa’s African
National Congress Youth League.
There have been seven
battles. I am in the middle Zuma’s
Armageddon which is the current 7th battle; and 7 documents circumscribe
this 7th battle.

WITH MANDELA-MINION KNOWN AS JACOB ZUMA IN 27 YEARS
1987
On the orders of Jacob Zuma, a
grave was supposed to be dug in Dakawa Morogoro Tanzania (one Jackson Dira a supervisor
working with the likes of SANDF’s current 2014 Simon Mabalane, whose niece is
behind the current Armageddon against Phiri).
The PAC came to my rescue, assisted by my Tanzanian parternal uncle of
Ubungu Dar es Salaam and I was smuggled out of Dakawa prior to me being buried
alive.
I had been targeted because of
blowing the whistle on the rape of women in the camps by Jacob Zuma’s
Intelligence officers like Mabalane, among other reasons.
1992-1994th
Again in Tanzania, Dar es-Salaam
this time: Systemic starvation of me, my wife and then uborn daughter, Thoko at
the hands of Jacob Zuma 2014 SANDF Major General Mohato Mofokeng.
Mofokeng was angry for the
report I had given to the PAC over atrocities committed by Jacob Zuma and his
Intelligence Officers like Mabalane in 1987 around places in countries like
Tanzania
1994-1998
I was derecognized as a former
freedom fighter at the behest of Mandela’s master Mr Nelson Mandela, author of
Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism still hamstring the SANDF to this day.
I only succeeded to get into the
Army in 1998 because of relentless efforts on my part writing to newspapers in
South Africa about my suffering as an unemployed man. And I also put in a
grievance with Bishop Tutu’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission-TRC but of course
to this day Jacob Zuma who is intent on destroying me, will not give me my dues
as an officially-recognized victim of human right abuses for the obvious reason
that it confirms his involvement therein even as early as back in 1987 when he
headed Umkhonto Wesizwe Intelligence matters with the likes of Simon Mabalane.
1994
The tearing of my wife’s VRAF
(Voluntary Repatriation Application Form results that were positive) by Nelson
Mandela’s National Intelligence Agency’s operative, a Xhosa-speaking general
who went by the name of Benson Mandindi.
And the of course the battles that I fought painfully to fight this on
different for a inclusive of the TRC.
To this day, Jacob
Zuma makes sure my first wife and our two children never set foot in South
Africa out of sheer Mandelasque-Xhosa triabism (one of the bad things Zuma
swallows from his political master, the late Mandela).
The shutting down of
my salary in 2014, has therefore not only meant (unless human-right fighters
join hands to help me) that my South African-born child Tamara is lost forever
to adoption, but that my Tanzania family shall never set foot again in South
Africa while I will be buried a pauper somewhere in the streets of Pretoria
with Zuma having taken R4million that is due to me via my pension and service
38 years to South African National Liberation.
He will probably add up that money to finish his Nkandla Homestead.

False
charges against me at the ZUMA-MBEKI SANDF Army College in Pretoria.I was a
scapegoat for the furore that ensured after Nelson Mandela cousin Ntombizodwa
Zini-Bobelo, one of the generals working in the SANDF this 2014 with the likes
of fellow-Xhosa-tribesmen V.R. Masonda, Temba Templeton Matanzima, Mlandeli
Alfred Kula etc. all for Jacob Zuma lies that I was on AWOL this year hence the
shutting of my salary, which is but a lame excuse.
Circa 2004
False
charges made by another Zuma SANDF Xhosa-speaking general who is so openly
tribalistic he says “Xhosa speakers should rule the SANDF because there is a
kind of water they drink in the Easter Cape and a liquid that gives them better
I.Q. than the rest of South Africans who are non-native Xhosa speakers”. He charged me among other reasons for my
writings to President Mbeki about the ravages Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism are
wreaking on combat-readiness of that state asset.

State
Charges at the hands of another Mandelasque-Xhosa tribalist of a general called
Norman Yengeni. He is seen here getting
a promotion to rank major general despite having been found years as major
cribbing his examinations at the South African Army College.
Yengeni
charged me for blogging and putting public the grievance that their master, Mr
Jacob Zuma, is to this day ignoring to stobp racim in the SANDF whether
Mandela’s idea of being Xhosa, or White Racism.
These things are long banned by South Africa’s constitution and I do
know why Jacob Zuma would rather die than stop them in his army.
I
suspect the Mandela’s tribalists have got a big secret about people murdered by
Jacob Zuma in exile and they blackmail him with such that if he were to
disallow them the Old-Harry Play they are busy enjoying with the SANDF today,
THEY WILL DIVULGE THOSE HEINOUS SECRETS.
I
too know some of those secrets where Jacob Zuma ordered people to be tortured
to death for standing up against Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism perpetrated by the
likes Andrew Masondo in Tanzania, a man said by some to be possible biological
father of the V.R. Masonda who for Zuma shut down Phiri salary August 2014.
The
Tanzanian victim of Zuma I know of was one Giovanni who after having his entire
body perforated by intelligence officers of the likes of Simon Mabalane, died
from it; and was subsequently buried at night int eh waters of Wame River running
across Mazimbu Dakawa.
Fortunately
for the departed spirit of this comrade, Tanzanian intelligence security caught
the Zuma criminals in action, gave the deceased a proper burial and locked up
at Morogoro prison the perpetrators of the heinous crime for Zuma.
I
saw those three perpetrators personally at prison during one of my jobs as
investigative journalist. And the Zumas, the Mabalanes and the Masondas cannot
deny these facts that they are today busy reanicting in a democratic South
Africa the same barbarity they survived on in exile for the sake of Mandela’s
Xhosanostra whose lapdog Jacob Zuma of Nkandla is.

Zuma’s

The man facing us, Mr
Norman Yengeni and Mr Zuma’s Major General, effectively never made it beyond
the rank of a Major because he did not pass the course to being lieutenant
colonel, but he got charged for fraud which fraud charge Zuma’s intelligence
network in the State of the Republic caused to disappear.
A full SANDF Board
convened to check the competency of query-Masondo query-Zuma query-Mandela
biological son (the man whose back our eyes hug) found that his competency many
years back while still major found that his compentecy was never anything more
than the rank he wore: “SANDF Major”.

who has corrupted our ANC party since his ascent to that position in 1987,
intervened to make sure the Major becomes the lieutenant general whose back we

Both men are Jacob

Norman Yengeni was

purpose of persecuting and even murdering both non-Xhosas who challenged
Mandelasque Xhosa tribalism perpetrated by Zuma’s intelligence in ANC camps,but
also moderate Xhosa-speakers who were against the tribalism.
Norman Yengeni is part
of the coterie of Zuma SANDF senior officers who have proven over the past 10
years (among them Mlandeli Alfred Kula, Winnie Bobelo-Zini and now Eric
Mabalane and uncle Simon Mabalane) never to have any promise of rest until
Lieutenant Colonel Goodman Manyanya Phiri is either dead or dismissed from the
SANDF.
I will therefore not be surprised to
hear one day that Norman Yengeni, himself also rumoured to be in fact
biologically fathered by either Jacob Zuma or
Ladiesman-turned-general-turned-shaman Andrew Lekoto Masondo, is the Snake in
the Grass who ordered Phiri salary beshut down for AWOL when my absence from
duty were per order of nobody else but Zuma himself through the signature of
SANDF erstwhile Chief Temba Templeton Matanzima, a skewed understanding of AWOL
by a man or men who never passed his Military Law Course, except by fraud.
The other man was
zapped by Zuma from being a major to being a lieutenant general of the SANDF
for no reason whatsoever except to use him rubberstamp for the Zuma surreptitious
fight against his fellow-Zuluman Bheki Simelane who wants his dues back to him
financially for having been swindled by Zuma Political Tutor Nelson Mandela of
his position as First Black Chief of the SANDF which position Nelson Mandela
unlawfully and unconstitutionally gave to his blue-eyed Zuluboy the inane,
undereducated and unde-rexperienced
Siphiwe Nyanda.

industry and generals of the SANDF.

Africans and employees of state departments in order to gain favour with their
chief illegitimate father, Mr Jacob Zuma. On this blog you will read about one such

There is only one law
that rules each and every one of us South Africans…and we fought for many years
and lost many heroes and heroines who paid the supreme price in order that we
attain it…it is the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.
Our laws are not made
by Jacob Zuma. Nor are they implemented by him where he only
stands as servant of ours being Nation South Africa. Our laws are made by an environment where the
full might of the South African Constitution can be realized. This happens at Parliament by means of agents
that us citizens of South Africa send there whenever we vote DA, PAC, ANC, IFP,
EFF, COPE, “GOODMAN MANYANYA PHIRI PARTY” etc.
However, what the sly
Mr Jacob Zuma has succeeded (to his
own detriment though) to do is to poison that environment with his ethos of
Nkandlagate Scandal, illicit sex with daughters of friends Khoza and Khuzwayo
(and maybe we should call him ‘K.K. Zuma’,
‘Koek Zuma’ or if in his own Zulu
mother tongue ‘Khekhe Zuma’), and promotion through the bedroom about which
I can write with authority where it comes to estimably half of the generals of Zuma’s SANDF as of this
November-December 2014 counting with more trying to be generals like Bastard
Eric Mabalane trying to be general at the expense of Goodman Manyanya Phiri
name. All of this phenomenal aberration
on his part Jacob Zuma calls it
‘being Zulu’ which is in fact far cry from the Shaka Zulu founder of the Zulu
nation who executed individuals involving themselves in Zuma-style extra-marital sex. I, Goodman Manyanya Phiri, should know about
being Zulu as my paternal third great grandfather Pikamalaza Phiri and a Prince

(elected by us citizens for no other duty but to hold Jacob Zuma to account for things like his Nkandlagate for his many

4FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION
My dear reader, how
deep have you ever thought about your freedom of expression and how it applies
to your own country.
Well, in South
African democracy, a system for which I from Age 15 in 1976 started to fight
for its enactment, FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION already exists as enshrined in the
supreme law of this country known as the National Constitution.
It entails, I still
hope even under Jacob Zuma’s
relentless efforts at poisonging the Constitutional well of this country
Being able to say
without prosecution that Mr Zuma is
an idiot if you feel that he indeed is.
Being able to write
publicly that there is a Number 1 idiot in this country called Zuma if you feel that way and can
support your feelings.This, according to our democracy and our constitution,
does not call for any salary shutdown for Lieutenant Colonel Phiri or for some
members of parliamnent OTHERWISE WHY DID SOUTH AFRICANS BLACK AND WHITE EQUALLY
SHED SO MUCH BLOOD TO HAVE A DEMOCRATIC CONSTITUTION ERECTED ON THESE SHORES IF

Freedom of Expression
takes a new dive upwards in constitutionally-democratic South Africa when you
either stand as Member of Parliament or a witness in Court.
Nowhere in our
constitutional document and law does it stand that a member of parliament
should be prosecuted with a salary shutdown for expressing himself or herself.
Now you may also say:
what happened in South Africa Parliament in 2014 was no self-expression but
rowdiness pure and simple.
Even if that were the
case, WHERE ELSE EXCEPT IN PARLIAMENT ARE ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE OF THIS NATION
ALLOWED TO BE ROWDY?
People should look
into their English dictionaries first before commenting too much: check the
etymology of the word “parliament”. I
have no space for that in this writing but I know the word meaning and its
proper pronunciation too.
Where I am going with
this is here: self-expression goes beyond word of mouth.
Example: If I were a certain colour on a certain day,
that is self-expression.
If I were a
particular uniform (e.g. as an SANDF lieutenant colonel), that is self-expression.
If I walk around with
a long face, dishevelled hair and a haggard deportment, that is self expression
too.
If I shout at you,
that is self expression.
All these and more
modes of self-expression are sanctioned by South Africa’s constitution which is
probably the Worlds most liberal constitution.
I challenge those
people who are at arms about the behaviour this year of Economic Freedom
Fighters’ Members of Parliament who wades in on Jacob Zuma’s long-windedness in explaining his Nkandlagate Scandal
in Parliament. Good People, please do
some research before you criticize behaviors of Parliamentarians.
I say look at the
world around you: this is the reason why
stuff like the World Wide Web is for.
Google some
parliamentary behaviors in highly advanced societies like Japan and come back
to Africa compare such with what the EFF presented.
Nobody was punched in
the South African parliament.
Nobody threw a shoe
at another parliamentarian.
Nobody invented
parliamentary fisticuffs which in my Japanese example (and South Africa tends
to bring up some of the best boxers the world has ever known) is nothing
unheard of.
But everybody was
expected by one Baleka-Mbete a Speaker to suddenly forget the mandatefor which
we voted in the ANC, the EFF, the DA, the IFP etc and toe the line of docility
as corruption-embroiled Mr Jacob Zuma
spins one more of his bifurcated, slick-tongued and long-winded fornicate yarn
around the Nkadlagate scandal! AND SO
SALARIES WERE SHUT DOWN FROM PARLIAMENT TO THE SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL DEFENCE

5JUDICIAL INDEPENDENCE
When things get as
tough as they have gotten for Jacob Zuma’s
twilight years in power, so tought that Parliament is rendered unworkable, the Zuma Department of Defence reduced to a
bumbling fool steered hither and thither by bastards and illegitimate children
of politicians like Zuma and his
Mentor Mandela (I promise you an eyeful of this) WHERE DO YOU AS NATION SOUTH
AFRICA RUN TO FOR YOUR OWN RESCUE?
You run to the
Judiciary, of course, which is one of the main three pillars of any statehood.
FORGET IT PLEASE! AND
FORGET IT IF YOU ARE IN JACOB ZUMA’S
2014 RULE OF SOUTH AFRICA!
Half of the Judiciary
has been corrupted 20 years ago already by no one else but Jacob Zuma’s mentor:Nelson Mandela.
Nelson Mandela is the
man who is famously quoted as havingcomplained in the early 1960s for having
been dragged into ‘A Whiteman’s Court’ because the rule of law in South Africa
was then constitutionally white no question about it.
We as RSA citizenry
in 1994 and alongside our constitutional dispensations remedying Apartheid
Constituion, DID VOTE NELSON MANDELA IN AS OUR FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT BUT WHAT
DID HE DO?
He corrupted the
judiciary.
You see my point
nowhere else except when you look at how he filled the judiciary with his own
fellow tribesmen whose one and only duty was to suppress South Africans who
sought recourse with the Judiciary.
In that respect,no
case is greater than that of Zulu-speaking SANDF Colonel Bhekumndeni Qedusizi
Penuell Simelane and an officer who, had he been Nelson Mandela’s
fellow-Xhosa-speaker would have been the first black Chief of the SANDF for his
constitutional qualificationsfor the post.
Instead, a Nelson Mandela fearful of the Zulus and Swazis who in the
first place (without one single participation by Mandela’s own fellow
Xhosa-speaker) started the idea of ANC formation at the end of the 19th
century.
To this day, some 18
years down the line and very solid, Mr Simelane, already a pensioner, is still
fighting to have his dues paid back to him for lost income as Chief SANDF. Jacob Zuma will not budge because he is
still mastered from the Eastern Cape where his anti-Zulu-Swazi tribalist Mentor
Mandela posthumously still has him puppet on the strings through one too many
Mandelasque Xhosa tribalist senior counsel foisted by the Mandelas into South
Africa’s judiciary.
To leave Simelane for
a moment though, if Mandelocrats like Jacob
Zuma found it koshser for him to express dislike of his being hauled to a
‘a whiteman’s Court in Apartheid South Africa’ WHY DID THE SAME MANDELOCRATS

independence, then, counts for Phiri as the greatest loss that Nation South
Africa has suffered in the past 20 years of Mandelocracy in this land. Even under Apartheid, judges have never been
nose ring pulled by any Apartheid-era president like half of them are so pulled
today since 1994 by Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki and now Jacob Zuma and the
latter’s string of illicit sex-involvements alongside corruption allegations at
taxpayers’expense like the Nkandlagate.
If judges were under Apartheid yesmen of the President of the day,
Nelson Mandela would not have been allowed in the dock to make the kind of
statement that he is cheaply famed for without practising it himself when
chance is given him to rule South Africa democracally and demographically.
All of this
mandelocracy goes against the grain of all sense of justice that one learns
even as one grows up in one’s own family, which family Jacob Zuma and Master
Mandela have succeeded to erode in present-day South Africa where one too many
homes filled with young growing children, are turned by Zuma’s officers of
state like police officers and municipal counsellors into brothels where pimps
are proud to tell you critic you can’t touch them for what they do in family
households because they have support from Jacob Zuma.
You try to challenge
such a statement, and they indeed pull their strings in higher places and you
find your salary shut down by Jacob Zuma. (As reader, there is another eyeful for
you in that respect and it involves no other family exemplified, but the
extended Phiri family family themselves, the writer’s, totally smithereens by
Zuma and Mandela’s corrupt morals).
If Jacob Zuma is
allowed to victimize like he does some of us whistleblowers against verified
reports of corruption to his own personal gain, if Nation South Africa sits
idle as our salaries are shut down thinking the pestilence will never come to
their doorsteps and that they are too secure, something shameful is bound to
hit this nation by 2070. We will simply
turn into a colony of yet another country to which we must be in advance
thankful as we will not be worthy to be called menand women of a democracy
capable of making it work and defending it where need arises.
Charity begins at
home; and if we allow one man to rule us even as all signs stand clear on the
wall that he is the greatest corruptor of family values ever known along these
shores, there is no nation on earth that
shall be adjudged wrong for coming over and ruling us as the second-class
citizens we have degraded ourselves into by allowing the rule of a corruption-prone name such as
that of 2014’s Jacob Zuma.
7COMBAT READINESS OF THE SANDF
This is a thorny
issue, but it also stands as my forte.
Back when I was in 1984 getting formal military training in Angola
through classes of military science under the gallant military wing of South
Africa’s ruling African National Congress (Umkhonto WeSizwe-MK and thanks to
Commissars like Comrade Tshepo Welcome Cheela), this is the one thing that
still stands out in my mind.
“Morale superiority
over the enemy ensures victory”. Now
‘morale’ is defined as ‘emotional state; spirit, mood’. In warfare the word refers largely to your
own sense of justice vis a vis that of your enemy.
I guess any
military-science book will read the same; but there was something else that
learnt in Angola which I think was spot-on from my MK Commissars and they said:
“No morals no morale”.
They said you cannot
go about turning women into sex toys (without any hope of marrying them) and
still hope those women will support your future war against an enemy.
They said you cannot
go about blackmailing women into sexcapades with you (or else they get no
promotion otherwise due to them) and still hope those women will support your
future war against an enemy.
I believe this is a
South African innovation to great military repositories like the Chinese Sun
Tsu.
Part of Shaka Zulu’s
military might stood on the same principle.
I read from the SANDF
military books written by colonial South Africa the same thing: [‘a
male military officer should not get too emotionally involved with a woman
unless his intention is to marry her’]
I am now looking
forward to Jacob Zuma and the oversexed half of his SANDF generals together
with Zuma himself not only overtuning well-established principles of war, but
also winning the war they have since declared against the people of South
Africa.

The most special thing about
this Armageddon is the fact that Zuma has shown his ruthlessness by means of
not only shutting down my salary with legal cause, but he has succeeded to get
some of my blood relatives hungry for money to support him.
Of course I had known for a
long time that my maternal aunt of
Soweto (Mrs Eva Margaret Sithole and her daughter Thembisile Virginia
Sihlongonyane) were working hand in hand with my enemies in government to
destroy me politically as well as destroying my father’s household I am, as
eldest Phiri survivor, trying to resurrect in earnest for the first time since
my return from exile in 1994.
What I had not known was the
levels at which Aunt Maggie and her daughter had sunken in her desire for cheap
favours from Zuma governance that she could sell her own eldest sister’s eldest
surviving son, Goodman the author.
You are bound to read a lot
about this woman on this blog. She by
the way is also the woman I have blog post (then unmentioned by name) who
claims my late father raped her when she was 12. Now I do not know what Christian values she
is following to make me pay for my father’s sins if it is true that she was
raped. Is she God?
Her daughter, Thembisile’s duty
for her mother is read my blogs and then spin them into some yarn for the rest
of the extended family to believe her and her mother of Soweto.
For an example, my salary
shutdown ‘happened’ for Thembisile and her audience some 4 years ago already.

The other sadness for me around
this Zuma Armageddon is the fact of course that I am a single parent to a
four-year old girl,my daughter Tamara whom Eva Margaret Shithole of Soweto and
her daughter Thembisile (in their war for Jacob Zuma) have succeeded to chuck
out together with myself from all blood relatives in Mayflower who are
frightened by the pair that ‘Jacob Zuma will send soldiers to kill them if they
should allow me and my daughter refuge in their houses inclusive of my own
father’s household’.
In short, I had never known that
is possible for any man alive to feel the kind of misery I am going through into
four months now without a penny’s source of income with a four-year-old child
who of course cannot attend crèche, cannot get food, cannot be dressed, cannot
have accommodation as all these things require money that Goodman Manyanya
Phiri does not have.

Over and above a string of other
documents that I know are on the way from Zuma’s taxman, from creditors, and a
myriad of potential attackers against Goodman Manyanya Phiri or any citizen
whose salary shall have been shut down by Zuma, there are those that I know of
and have come to pass.
It is those that I am dealing

Zuma shut down that judicial arm

Mr Zuma uses the judiciary only when it favours him and his minions and never
when it favours the citizen who is in the position of Phiri and this is why I

own sakes as soldiers...real soldiers tend to be at their best during

Why is it like it is
Julius Malema’s party (EFF) only that is concerned about the maltreatment of
soldiers at the hands of sadists who apply military law against their victims
in the most unscrupulous of ways?
The day is dawning
soon when even those civilians who today are not only cosy but are even blasé
over the suffering of just too many SANDF good soldiers [black and white alike]
will wake up that morning to read this that your are reading now and then ask
themselves: “Why didn’t we get the message then?”
That of course will be the
morning when your daughter or your wife will be telling you: ‘a Zuma general
was here last night, and he raped me.’
You know even now in your
current smug reading that you will not even try to report the matter to the
police seeing that their answer is known in advance:
“No, we can’t help you Sir. We can’t help your wife and daughter

the President and I as the captain and station commander at this Police Station

It is my belief that
those who are today too inured to lift a finger or wag the good tongue for

Sadly though, if to
report in this writing, of this 128 ancestors (none of whom I have heard ever
committed incest to beget issue), I can only report about 8 i.e. Simelane,
Phiri, Thwala, Nkosi, Khumalo,Mavimbela, Mthupha and Kumwenda.

ANCESTRY (“PHIRI, MATANJE, WAMPHUNO NGA NDUNYUNGU”)
SimelaneAlongside Thwala/Tfwala,
Nkosi-Dlamini, Phiri in the next oldest ancestry very direct I come from.
As a result, I treat
all Phiris I meet as my grans with
all due respect paid to them. I do not
discriminate against another Phiri
purely on the basis of his or her ethnic origin being different from mine. In that respect those who attended the funeral
of about a decade ago of a Phiri of mine who was a senior journalist of the
SANDF “Soldier” magazine, will recall seeing me with that Phiri family through and through. He
was Xhosa-speaking but Phiri matters
more than Xhosa or Swazi or Nyasa because Phiri
existed long before ethnicities and even skin colours were born.
Verily, noneof these
2014-Mandelasque-Xhosa-tribalists who make noise about Nyasa-Goodman-Phiri siding with Zulu-Bheki Simalane
uttered a word as at Avalon Cemetery, I sat next to the late Brother Norman
Phiri’s mother a Xhosa-speaker of Mpondo stock and comforting her…none asked
“Why is this Swazi-speakig Phiri
comforting a Xhosa speaker?”
If that did not
happen then? Why is it happening today,
Fellow-South-Africans Mandelaque-Xhosa-tribalists when Phiri should per same principle stand by a Zulu Simelane? Or are
Xhosa-speakers in your view the only people that matter to be comforted,
supported, and sided with per principle in their hours of need?
What a
backwardness,if so!
In that respect, I
will also not discriminate against another Phiri
for the reason that he or she may be spelling clan name “Peary”, “Van Vuuren” or
any name resembling the Fire, Pyramid,
Mountain, Wolf etc from which the Phiri surname is derived. This is one area where I pick up problems in
South Africa for not discriminating against white people or fearing them as too
many of us blacks seem to be doing today.
The earliest ancestor
and very direct for me is Pikamalaza
Phiri. In honour of him, there lies
a shrine in North Eastern Zambia, easily visible on any map,where he was
buried. He was both Surgeon General and Chief Commander of the Zwangendaba
forces that, at war against Shaka Zulu all the way from present-day KwaZulu
Natal where the Phiris ruled over the Zulu ethnicity then known as Amatanje
People (some of whom may have metamorphed to ‘Matsenjwa’), ended up trekking
northwards to as far a Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania, to name but some.
This ancestor of mine
does not give me peace of mind and from
several sources I have read that if there is one gene that compounds my 21st
century life it is the 19th centurygene of Pikamalaza Phiri.
History books on the
Mfecane in general as well as the exploits of Zwangendaba in particular, books
of course that the English wrote, portray my paternal ancestor as ‘a
cantankerous man’ who apparently gave Zwangendaba sleepless nights over some of
his strategic decisions that Pikamalaza found unworkable and commander of armed
the forces.
Maybe I am too
irritable too for authority to stomach me.
Nonetheless, I am still to find a clause in South Africa’s constitution
that proscribes criticism of those you put on power. In any case, even in those relatively backward
societies, we do not read anything suggesting that Zwangenda ultimately put
Pikamalaza Phiri to death or shut down his salary for his candour; even Shaka
Zulu, caricatured as a cruel ruler, never put critics to death, welcomed them,
rather. In short I am marvelling as to
what demon has entered Jacob Zuma’s head who likes calling himself a
traditional Zulu whereas Zulu rulers have never been as cruel as Zuma is today
against Goodman Manyanya Phiri’s outspokenness.
My ancestor died a natural death.
and to this day he is still revered as a hero over and above being one
of the most powerful shamans 19th Century Southern Africa had ever
seen. For that matter, his name Pikamalaza comes from Malawian pseudonym for Pika=Cook+
Malaza=Potions. Thus his original first name was lost even
though we all know he was a Phiri from South Africa alongside Zwangendaba.
Pikamalaza’s son was Manyanya Phiri, who in turn gave birth to Maziriyankhunda Phiri, the father of Goodman’s paternal grandfather
(Jacob Phiri) and granduncle Timothy
Phiri, and Jacob Phiri begot Bright Manyanya Phiri, who in turn begot Goodman
the father to Thoko, Maziri, and Tamarai.

Phiri, here is how on estimation it would look, given some 40 year’s berth
younger or older:
Pikamalaza Phiri 1830(Query Swaziland, Query Mozambique
Query South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal, the Matanje Chieftancy from which come such
clans as Mbewe). The Matanje Clan of the
Zulus were next to obliterated by Shaka Zulu, thanks to the former’s
recalcitrance to the rise of the latter.
Author suspects the famous Matsenjwa clan is an offshoot of the Matanje
and that many of the anti-Shaka Phiris either migrated to present-day Lesotho
or went to Swaziland by the aforementioned Matsenjwa surname or simply Maseko
which is another stone-age surname and offshoot from the Phiri, the world’s
oldest royal surname who taught humanity the necessity of cooking food and
banned the eating of raw meat.

IMPORTANT RECORD FOR POSTERITY On arrival in South
Africa to work principally in the gold mines around the 1940s, athor’s father
suppressed the Phiri surname and flaunted instead the first name (“Manyanya”)
of his great-grandfather. Author
discovered this in 1976 when he peered into Father’s Malawian passport and
raised hell about it to which Father bowed in and allowed the entire family to
be known by its rightful surname “Phiri” rather than “Manyanya”. But this was not after several grandchildren
of my my father’s, like Jabulani Manyanya, Tamari Manyanya, Zodwa Manyanya
etc. had already gotten themselves
registered at Home Affairs as ‘Manyanya’ rather than ‘Phiri’. They were all children of my stepbrother,
Fanyana Manyanya who will be featuring later on in this writing.

author’s known ancestry, if knowing the name suffices. She stands as wife to Swazi Prince Khenkana
of whose two known issue are Prince Folozi and and Prince Sigeyeza, Goodman
Ancestor (Her brother was known as Mr Sibewula
Khumalo).
As a result, I treat
all Khumalos I meet as my grans with
all due respect paid to them.
That is the teaching
I received from my maternal gran, Swazi
Princess Mrs Eleanor Fedeqhikizalemalangeni LaNkosi LaDlamini, the daughter
of Prince Sigeyeza. The son of Princess LaKhumalo. Seeing that Princes Khenkana and his two sons
(among others) came from Swaziland to settler in Emjindini/Barberton,it is safe
to assume that the Khumalos, maternal relatives of the two princes, originated
from Swaziland too. However, from the
popularity of the name “Sibewula Khumalo” (Prince Khenkana’s brother-in-law) it
may be equally safe to assume that a remarkable number of the Khumalos,
Sibewula included, joined the the royal family in Emjindini/Barberton.

Mnukwa Mavimbela stands as one of author’s known
ancestry, if knowing the name suffices.
Because of disruptions in author’s efforst of researching this ancestry,
principally from tow of their descendants (Norman Mavimbela and Maggie
LaMavimbela Shithole both of who feature prominently in this account) next to
no physical and actual research has been done as yet on the Mavimbela. Nonetheless, oral account points their known
origins to KaManzini, Swaziland. Names
like Bundlukezi, Maliwane, Boyane, Zombodze and others feature prominently too. The most striking thing about the Mavimbelas
I know is their resemblance, something which suggests they come from a
close-knit family and ancestry as from Goodman’s second great grandpa Mnukwa
Mavimbela of Swaziland.
As a result, I treat
all Mavimbelas I meet as my grans with all due
respect paid to them.

One needs to state
that Willem was orphaned while still
probably younger than two. He was then
taken from Swaziland to South Africa’s Zonstraal area where his paternal uncle,
Khekhekhe Mavimbela lived. That is where he grew up,married, and started
his own family.
Of Khekhekhe’s two or more wives
(inclusive of a LaMalaza) it is LaNdlovu who adopted the small Willem for her own son. Otherwise, none of her children were boys
As intimated earlier
there is a lot of grey area in the history of the Mavimbelas. There is for
example ZephniaMavimbela wa LondoloziMavimbelawaNkisimaneMavimbela;
and it would seem like NkisimaneMavimbela
is of the same generation as MnukwaMavimbela
and they could be brothers.
There is also PhethileLaMavimbelaWaSolomoniMavimbelawaPaulMavimbela
and it would seem like Paul is of the same generation as brothers Khekhekhe and Mashoma, probably first or better still, paternal second cousins.
Then there is also Mathaba MavimbelawaMphumaphi Mavimbela; and it would seem like Mphumaphi and Willem are
probable paternal third cousins. It
would seem like there is no house Mavimbela
in Mpumalanga greater in numbers than the Mphumaphi
house. Author knows a score or more of
the descendants.

Mthupha is one of my youngest known

even.though I know for a fact that a number of them live at KaMsogwaba/Pienaar

Kumwenda is currently the least known
clan name in my ancestry. They are on my paternal side of the family tree and
wholly inMalawi.
Nonetheless, I treat

Mrs EstherNyaKumwendaPhiri is the mother to
Mr BrightManyanyaPhiri. And some
five or so other children all of them younger than my Bright.
